Like last week I want to write a short summary of last week. It has been a busy one again. Will this busy time ever end? I hope not, because having deadlines is what makes me get up in the morning!
I had my first blog post for the lovely guest team of ‚Design Memory Craft Faber-Castell‚. If readers see a blog post come live, the author has finished his work days or even weeks ago. I am a person who has no patience. I cannot wait to show my creations. So the time I have to wait and keep quiet is tough. But in the end I can show and share and hope someone likes it.
I made a jewelry hanger from a white canvas. It was so much fun, because I have put some of my beloved crochet in there. I made a sweater a few years ago and didnt like it, but the lace on the bottom was pretty. I cut it off and used it in my canvas after I primed it with Gesso. So the project was Mixed Media AND crochet. Clever me.
Next thing on my list was a video for ICE Resin. You will have to wait a few more days, but I hope you will like it. I cannot help: When I think of ICE Resin my mind goes wild. I would like to put it on almost everything! I made some scary halloween earrings and cannot wait to show you.
Next thing that I could finish was a kind of new hobby… it is based on crochet, but the result is knitting. It’s called ‚knooking‘ and seems to become my next addiction. I made some tests with several tools and found the perfect one for me from a german company called Addi. I wrote about it here in german: Click.
That was week 43. 44 has started today. I am pretty sure it will be a busy one.
Woche 43 war nicht minder ereignisreich als die Woche zuvor. Aber ich bin froh dass die Termine sich gegenseitig jagen, ich käme morgens nicht aus dem Bett wenn es anders wäre.
Vergangene Woche konnte ich endlich mein erstes Projekt für das Gast-Team von Design Memory Craft Faber-Castell zeigen, die Schmuck-Aufbewahrungsleinwand. Dabei konnte ich ein anderes meiner geliebten Hobbies einflechten: Das Häkeln. Vor Jahren hatte ich einst einen Pulli gehäkelt, der mir nicht mehr gefiel. Doch die untere Borte war zu hübsch für die Altkleidertonne, und so landete sie mit Gesso grundiert auf meiner Leinwand. Das hat Spaß gemacht!
Neben Mixed Media habe ich mich auf ICE Resin gestürzt. Meine Teamkollegen zaubern die traumhaftesten Schmuckstücke damit, aber mir kommen immer nur spinnerte Ideen. Und diesmal im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, denn ich habe ein Spinnennetz mit Resin überzogen. das glaubt ihr nicht? Dann warten mal ab bis ich es euch zeigen darf!
Thema Nummer drei in Woche 43 war das Knooking. Für mein Schwesterblog Kreativtester habe ich einen ersten Test zum Thema gemacht, und euch ausführlich darüber berichtet: Klick. Lasst euch von diesem wunderbaren alten/neuen Hobby anstecken!
Das war eine ereignisreiche Woche, und nun steht die 44te vor uns. Es wird turbulent. Wie immer.
