Der Bericht von der Creativeworld geht morgen weiter.
This week it’s carnival in Germany. I live in the most active area on the planet during this fifth season, as we call it. From Thursday to Tuesday next week, nothing is going the usual way: Normal people dress like clowns, even the employees at the bank counter look like nuns, rabbits or little red riding hood. Yes, we know how to celebrate.
Two major cities fight for the right to be the center of this fun, Cologne and Duesseldorf. In case you do not know: They are neighbours. Kind of. But if it comes to carnival, everyone has to decide what to yell, if the carnival procession starts. In Cologne everyone yells „Alaaf!“, in Duesseldorf people shout „Helau!“.
Never! Ever! dare to say Helau in Cologne during carnival. If you have a deathwish, then go for it.
But no matter what you want to shout, how many candy you will collect in the streets, we all have one thing in common: We dress funny and paint our faces. And nails, maybe. So I want to show you, how to feel a bit like carnival, where ever you are.
Dress your thumb like a mushroom, let two ladybugs visit the mushroom and keep the rest for the confetti. How you can achieve the cool look on your nails, even after carnival is over, I want to show you in a quick video. You can find it on the blog of Imagine Arts Tsukineko. Euch muss ich nicht erklären, was Karneval ist. Spaß halt. Da ich vor Jahren oft meine Nägel hübsch angemalt hatte, aber mit einigen Designs Probleme hatte, war ich nun sehr froh über die neuen Produkte von Imagine Crafts Tsukineko. Zum Beispiel das neue StazOn Studio Glaze (Foto oben) ist eigentlich für Designs auf Glas und anderen glatten Flächen gedacht. Oder Papier. Oder Pappe. Warum nicht auf Nägeln?
Bei all meinen Nageldesigns hatte ich das Problem, dass kleine Punkte (dots) sich wieder auflösen, wenn man eine abschließende, schützende Schicht klaren Lack aufträgt. Das passiert bei StazOn Studio Glaze nicht! Das neue Zeug hat mir den Tag gerettet!
Im Blog von Imagine Crafts habe ich ein kleines Video für euch, wo man sieht wie das obige Nageldesign gemacht wird. Ich hoffe es gefällt euch.
Zur Zeit habe ich leider noch keine Bezugsquelle in Deutschland für das Glaze. Ich schreibe sie hier hinein, wenn ich eine finde. Eure Bärbel
